[ Bio ]
Hi, I am Emma Faith and I was born on March 17th, 2000. My stats: 8lbs. 8oz. 20" long.
I have had a rough first two months. I was sent to Loma Linda Children's Hospital where I was diagnosed with laryngomalacia. That is a big word, but it just means that my larynx isn't quite done yet and it makes me breath loudly. Don't worry, I should be all better by 6 to 18 months old.
My first friend is Hannah Rose Fraser. She was supposed to come out two weeks after I did, but she decided to make us all wait two more. I don't know her very well yet, but I think she and I will make good friends!
My parents say that I am cranky. I think they just don't understand me. Come visit me and I promise to give you a big smile. I am only cranky for Mommy and Daddy.

It has been so long since we updated this site! Just glad I had stuff written in the baby book to back track a little! Emma is doing really well. She says: Mama, Dada, Nana, Baby, Bubble, Ball, Yucky, Duck, Cookie, Cracker, Go, Koko, Bye-Bye, No-no-no, Yeah, Nigh-night, dog, and a few others I am blanking on. She loves feeding her babies and pushing her little stroller.
But that is where the girlie stuff ends. She is a roughian! She has to do everything Ethan does. She even dresses in his cowboy, batman, and fireman outfits. She digs in the dirt, plays with trucks and climbs UP our slide! (but she can't quite make it and it makes her mad!)
She is becoming a pickier eater too. (much to my dismay!) She is a very different child than Ethan. He has lots of energy and keeps me going all the time, but Emma is naughtier. She is more strong willed and is prone to crying if she doesn't get her way. She is very dramatic too. Ethan can just look like he is going to annoy her sometimes and she'll cry!
She is a VERY clingy kid. Which I am also not used to. (Ethan was very independent.) She cries when we get her out of the car at grandma's house because she thinks she is getting dropped off. She will not be held by a stranger or even familiar people at that! There are maybe 5 people she will readily go to out of my arms.
In August Emma and Lori are taking a trip to Raleigh to see Michelle (friend from KY) and her family. Not quite sure how it all came about. Trying not to think of being with Emma on that long of a flight! While we are gone David, Ethan, Gregg and Nathan are going camping!
She still isn't much into t.v. She will watch a particular ABC Sesame Street video and a Teletubby video and that is about it. She would much rather be following me around the house.
All in all. . .she is a joy!
12 Months Old
Emma is officially walking, trotting, tripping, clibing, etc! She had a great first birthday. Koko bought her first ring and she wears it all the time.
Her personality is really coming out. She is very musical and will dance at almost anything. (even a man whistling a tune at Target!) She shakes her shoulders and nods her head. She also likes to turn in circles!
11 Months Old
She's our little "spitter." She is constantly spitting, making noises, and growls. On March 1 she took 11 steps in a row! When she picks up the phone, she now says "Nana." (to the utter delight of my mom.)
10 Months Old
Cutie! Cutie! Cutie! She is doing so many things and playing so well! (esp. destroying Ethan's room!) She weaned herself this month so she is eating like crazy! She feeds herself: diced carrots, peaches, green beans, baby meat sticks, cereal bars, and more! She says "Uh-oh" and answers the phone "Haaa"--wonder where she gets that? She likes to show her belly to you.
9 Months Old
My plan for keeping the kids well backfired! Emma got sick Christmas Eve and she and I stayed home Christmas day while Ethan and David partied without us at the Whittlesey's. This month she is raising her arms when you say "Super Baby" or "Super Sissy." She waves bye-bye. She stands alone. She is almost 20 lbs.
8 Months Old
This month went by way too fast! She is jabbering quite a bit but her favorites is still "Mama." SHe and Ethan spent the month passing a cold back and forth. She ended up with croup so we limited her exposure to other kids so they would be well for the holidays.
7 Months Old
What a month! Emma has really blossomed into an incredibly happy, enjoyable
baby. Mid month she started crawling. She started with the "Army" crawl
but that didn't last long. She is saying "Babba" and "Mama." By the end
of the month she was pulling herself up on furniture, clapping and just
beginning to wave.
6 Months Old
We've given up all hope of using a bottle and are now using a sippy cup. She's shaking her head and does "Indian chants" with her hand. Emma really brightens when she smiles. She squints her eyes, wrinkles her nose and snorts! She got her first ear infection this month. Ethan lovingly shared his with her. She also got her first tooth.
5 Months Old
Emma's eating and eating and it's going straight to her thighs! She's getting nice and chubby. She went to the nursery at church for the first time and did really well. She's working on sitting up using the "boppie" for balance.

I'm already almost 4 months old. I weigh 13lbs. 9oz. I'm not a big moose like my brother was at my age (he weighed 16lbs. 15oz). My breathing is almost all better and I am much happier. Thanks for praying for me!
Mommy, Nana and Ethan took me to a place called Disneyland yesterday. That was my second time. I thought "small world" was so exciting!
Some people say I look like my daddy. Others say I look just like my brother. What do you think?
